DAMINI - LIGHTING ALERT APP

Every year 2000 to 2500 people die in India due to lightning. In such a situation, the Ministry of Earth Sciences of the Central Government has created an app that will alert you 30-40 minutes before lightning strikes. The name of this app is Damini. This app provides premature notification of lightning as well as rescue information. You can download it for free from Google Play Store.

The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) has created this app. Work on this was going on for the last 6 months. Senior scientist Dr Sunil Pawar of the team making it told that along with the information of lightning fall, the app also tells how to protect and get first aid. While working in the field, during travel, while working around the house, if you get a warning of lightning, then you are given a picture of how to protect.

Dr. Pawar further told that on opening the app, a circle showing the map of the location where you are. This circle will make 20 kilometers in diameter aware of the lightning warning occurring in the next 30-40 minutes. In the place where you are present there will be information about whether lightning is going to happen or not, in Hindi and English below the circle. Further, this warning is expected to be given in regional languages ​​as well.

Scientists say that compared to other countries, a lot of people in India go out of their homes for farming purposes. There is a high probability of falling into lightning. This app can be used for all people except agricultural workers. Half of India in the Arabian Ocean is like the peninsular, so these monsoon winds affect a large part of India. People can protect themselves better through this app.

Steps of Transfer Data In PC

• First open the Jio Switch app
• Then click on the 3 lines on the left.
• In the 4 options given in it, click on the fourth option Share Files with PC
• If you want to send data to pc, select share files with pc and if you want to take data from pc to your mobile, select Receive files From Computer.
• Then you have to choose the data you want to send rather than the option to send to the pc.
• Now the page that opens in your mobile will show a password and URL.
• Clicking on wifi in your pc will then show the name of the hotspot. Clicking on it will enter the password of your mobile.
• Then go to any pc browser and enter the given URL
• Now your pc and your mobile will be connected and the data you selected will be displayed in the pc. Now you can download it there.

Steps to check PAN-Aadhaar link status:

• Once you open this, an option “Link Aadhaar” will appear on the left side of the Home page.

• Upon clicking the option, a page to link both PAN and Aadhaar will appear. It also has an option to check the current status.

• Selecting the option of current status will take you to a different page where one has to fill in the details of PAN and Aadhar.
• 
  
• After this, a notification will appear that will tell you about the status of linking.

It is to note that the government has mandated linking of PAN and Aadhaar card by June 31, 2020. According to the notification, if a person fails to link these two, his or her PAN will become inoperative.
